Do I need to know how to play Mahjong?
Not at all! Beginner Mahjong 101 is designed for brand-new players. We'll walk you through the tiles, the card, the Charleston, and the basics of gameplay in a fun, welcoming environment.

 

What's the difference between Mahjong 101 and Mahjong 102?
Mahjong 101 is for beginners learning the game from the start. Mahjong 102 is for players who already understand the basics and want to build confidence, improve strategy, and strengthen their gameplay.

 

What should I bring to a lesson or Open Play?
Just bring yourself and come ready to play! We'll provide the Mahjong sets and everything you need for your session.

 

How many players are at each table?
Mahjong is played with four players per table. Our classes and Open Play experiences are set up with four players at each table.

 

Is Open Play a lesson?
No. Open Play is self-guided and designed for players who already understand the basics of Mahjong. Formal instruction is not included.
